(QE-Pro™ - Quantity Estimation and Project Management Software)
All Civil Engineers & Architects see Quantity Estimation as a tedious and time-consuming task. Also, as we often see, there are frequent revisions in the plans until the final drawings are prepared. During such alterations in the building plans, recalculating the quantities again and again manually is a headache everyone wants to get rid of. Software’s can help in this process and ease out the task. SoftTech Engineers Private Limited has therefore released a software package called "QE-Pro" – [Quantity Estimation and Project Management] for the fraternity of Architects and Civil Engineers.
QE-Pro is a highly interactive and sophisticated Windows based software for cost estimation of civil engineering structures, preparation of tender documents and bills. it is designed to adopt different District Schedule Of Rates (DSR) or Schedule of Rates (SOR) and provided by competent authorities for the execution and monitoring of civil works. QE-Pro also offers a user-friendly interface to carry out detailed rate analysis of items of DSR.
In QE-Pro we have implemented highly practical Engineering Modules such as importing the drawing from AutoCAD and Struds to QE-Pro, performing the Estimation, Tendering, Billing and other Project Management part. It also provides you the facility of exporting the project data to MS Project and Struds. This would give you the further interactive Cost effectiveness for constructing your project.
In Quantity Estimation (Q. E.) part you also able to perform the Rate Analysis, which further would give you the Resource Consumption Floor wise and Phase wise or Project wise. Interactive Rate Analysis module facilitates you to maintain the HO level or Global level and Site level Rate Analysis, which provides you the facility of maintaining the cost benefits and Resource Consumption for individual site.
QE-Pro not only provides you the Estimation but also gives the value added inputs for preparation of different types of Tenders like Item Rate, Percentage Above Below and Lump- some Tenders through the highly efficient engines like Profit Analysis and Sensitivity Analysis.
In Project Management part project schedule is automatically generated from user definable templates. This schedule is then used for tracking the progress of the work. For each activity, resource requirement is calculated based on Rate analysis prepared by user. This helps is detecting and planning for bottle necks which may appear during the execution of project. Project schedule along with the Rate Analysis (Or Resource Consumption for the corresponding activity) can be directly exported to MS Project.
Further billing module takes care of Measurement Books and Running Bills generated during execution of project. Measurement Books are tightly coupled with estimates and Running Bills are coupled with MBs and Tender Forms. Billing rates can be maintained and running bills are produced considering these constraints. Red alert produced if running bill quantity exceeds Tender quantity.
